There is nothing like old fashion American classic burger. Today I am going to show you an easy way to make the most delicious and juicy burger. Thin lettuce, tomato, onion, gooey cheese and a buttery bun is magic!
This is what you will need:
(Makes 4 Medium Size Burgers)
1 pound of 80/20 Ground Chuck
1/8 tsp of Pepper
1/8 tsp of Salt
6 Slices of Colby Jack Cheese
1 Cup Thinly Sliced Lettuce
1 Thinly Sliced Tomato
1 Thinly Sliced Red Onion
4 Rolls
1/2 Stick Melted Butter
Prep:
In a small bowl shape ground beef into hamburger patties. Season with salt and pepper on one side.
Cook:
Use a non-stick or cast iron skillet on medium high heat. Place the burger season side down in the dry pan and then season the other. Let the burger cook untouched for 3-4 minutes. Then flip and cook for another 2 minutes or until desired doneness.
In the last minute of cooking add cheese and cover with foil. Allow the cheese to melt and then build the burger.
Toast the bun:
Cut bun in half and brush the insides with melted butter. Toast them in the same skillet the burger was in for 1 minute.
Special Sauce:
Equal parts
Mayo, Ketchup, Mustard, and pickle juice. Mix well and serve on top of the burger.
Serve:
With fries or salad.
